Bottle from the brewery.
Pours a solid black color with a few small bubbles on top that dissipate instantly. Smells of dark roasted grain with hints of chocolate caramel and bits of dark fruit. Smells more like a stout than a Belgian dark. The flavor is sweet malty and roasty. Lots of caramel chocolate and brown sugar with hints of dark dried pitted fruits. Non existent carbonation with a sweet syrupy mouthfeel and a medium to thick body. I may gotten a mislabeled bottle because this is more stout like than Belgian dark. The lack of carbonation doesn't help much either and the other bottle I bought to lay down is worrisome. If I can straighten out the mystery here I will re rate, but as is this is a poor Belgian strong.
