Brief notes from Night of the Funk; guessing this was from a bottle but it easily could have been on-tap.
A-Dark brown. Not picking up much red/ruby/crimson. Not a lot of light penetration either.
S-Has some upfront tartness but it's equally balanced with some burnt caramel and softer roast. Maybe a bit of that chocolate covered cherry duo going on here.
T-The flavor is pleasant. It' has more dark malt the any Flanders I have had. The tartness is reminiscent of unripe cherry. Then I get chocolate and roast in a modest degree.
M-Feels fairly full. Alcohol bubbles up a bit. Very mellow carbonation. A bit chewy.
O/D-White Birch is really hit or miss. This one was pretty tasty and definitely unique. I enjoyed it and would revisit it if possible.
