On tap at Cask and Vine for the Scottish beer dinner.
Pours a solid dark brown/black color with a minimal head and retention. Aromas of caramelized sugars, sweet sugary malts, vanilla, dark chocolate, dark fruits, and a warming alcohol note. The flavor is rich caramelized sugars with hints of chocolate smoke and dark fruits. A very present warming alcohol makes this feel a bit bigger than it is. Thick body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet chewy mouthfeel. I loved this beer! It is a sipper to be sure but the aromas were wonderful and the flavor was great too. I'm not so sure this was only 7% but the brewer was a bit vague. Oh and this was WB review number 100 for me.
