Had on tap. Pours clear, orange-brown in color, with 1/2 inch head. Taste is cherry, light plum, and fig. Soft for the style, sweet, light bodied, and medium carbonation. Excellent sipper. Will look for this one again.

On tap at Ebenezer's Pub.
Pours a deep, dark amber with a fluffy cream colored head. Nice retention and lacing.
The aroma explodes with notes of fig, raisons, and black cherry. There's also a subtle caramel malt character. Just a touch of alcohol.
The flavor is more subdued than expected but still quite pleasant. I get plenty of fig and raisons, as well as some grainy malt. Alcohol is almost non-existent.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation. Incredibly smooth and creamy. Slightly dry on the end.
Overall, an excellent Quad that hides its ABV extremely well. Great flavors and aromas, and goes down very smooth.

Fantastic beer. Malty and smooth. No bite from the alcohol, no overpowering flavors or sensations at all. A really well rounded malty Belgian style beer. This is easier to drink than my other favorite malty winter beers like Celebrator or Allagash Tripel. My favorite beer from Lively so far.
