A: Deep garnet red with hints of rust and copper when held to light. Pours with moderate, off-white, oatmeal colored head.
S: Aromas of cherry, date and raisin. Lots of dark fruit and sweet malt.
T: Flavor follows the nose. Strong malty flavors. Ripe cherries and dark fruit. Sweet bread, earthy and rich grain flavors continue and fruity sweetness fades with the finish.
M: Moderate towards heavy body with moderate carbonation.
O: Very tasty old-world style bock. Pleasant fruity sweetness with a hearty body. Quaffable but with more than enough flavor to satisfy.
