Solid across the board. Orange toned yellow with a loose head. Smell is bready, spicey, a bit hay and bitter. Not complex but appealing. Taste carries through the aroma, simple yeast profile and a bit of toasted bread, finishing with a moderate hop bitterness. Very drinkable; easy to crush with food.

A - Clear yellow-gold body, with a white head that starts rocky, then fades quickly to a film over the top. Mild lacing.
S - Yeast, pretty typical of Sun King, but with the saison funk note that signals what to expect when you take a drink.
T - Straight into the saison, with a strong element of minerality, a hint of fruit dialed into the back suggesting apples and pears, and a close that has a mild funk along with the limestone element at the beer's core.
M - Very bright and crisp, with a slight drying element in the close.
O - Sun King dialed in a very solid, drinkable saison here. Pleasant, and not burdensome, it still carries with it all the hallmarks I look for in a saison. Good stuff.
