I held my glass to the sun steaming across Everybody's patio and noted a distant glow of fiery red in this otherwise ebony ale. A skunk cannabis aroma rose upwards in a manner I might ordinarily associate with a Northwest IPA. Though this was unusual for an oatmeal stout, the herbal fragrance combined with dry cereal grains producing a raw invigoration. The taste showed an engaging mix of gentle malt sweetness and robust roastiness while a frolic of tan suds stood guard.
Good from the word go. Hearty but not overpowering.

Man there are some pathetic fucking reviews for this beer on here. BA has gone completely down hill. Palateless IPA huntards are ruining the ratings of some dynamite beers--this beer is no exception. Cicerone certified beer server and BJCP Certified Judge review to follow:
Had this on tap at world famous 1111 (that's eleven eleven to your normies) in the world infamous Hilltop area of Tacoma.
Dark body, nice brown head. Retention was good, lacing was ok, but I've seen better. I give the lacing a B-.
Rich smooth roasted grain and chocolate on the aroma. Low earthy hop notes.
Flavor mimicked the aroma. Rich smooth chocolate notes, with a hint of roasted grains to even it out. Firm hop bitterness without being over powering.
Medium full bodied beer. This is what an oatmeal stout should be.
Overall this was a fantastic oatmeal stout. I've honestly been pretty disappointed with the stouts in Washington state, but this one is absolutely fantastic. One of the best stouts period I have found in WA. WOULD DRINK AGAIN!

On tap at the brewpub in White Salmon.
The nearly opaque body displays lovely ruby highlights when held to the light. Very good tan head leaves patterned stick lacing on the glass
Mildly bitter. Lacks complexity. Mild flavor.
Medium+ body is smooth with medium-light carbonation

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Poured brownish black with a small cap of beige head. Pretty standard stout aroma: dark malts, lightly roasty, notes of cocoa and coffee. Pretty standard taste as well, reflecting the nose: roasty malts, coffee and cocoa, with a bit of bitterness from both, slightly grainy and a touch of subtle earthy hops. Pretty smooth, medium mouthfeel, and nicely drinkable.

Very dark brown with some black areas. Creamy tan head. Fair head retention.
Sweet chocolate notes with a touch of cream coffee. Very slightly fruity. Nice.
Smooth malt with a good coffee nots. Bitter chocolate and some earthy hops. Good.
Medium full body with moderate carbonation. Fine.
A nice stout. There’s nothing wrong here and the balanced fruitiness is nice.

Pint glass served on tap. Very pleasant surprise to find this beer at the Big River Grill in Stevenson, WA.
Pours a brown head that retains well. The look is nice and dark. Clear.
Well stated caramel notes and of course oats.
I enjoyed this beer so much I added the brewery at White Salmon as a must stop on our road trip. Review of Country Boy IPA to follow.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a solid black with an inch of deep tan head that had good retention and lacing. The beer had solid malt and roast aromas. The flavors were also solid roast, a hint of coffee, and malt. The body was a little thinner than I like for this style, but still solid. Drinkability was very good, I could have a couple of these. Overall, A very good beer, worth going out of your way for.
