Passion Fruit Sour
Everybody's Brewing
Date: 12/02/21
Never had a beer from this brewery. The beer is 40 degrees and served in a pint glass. The pour created a frothy and airy one-finger head. The retention is okay, dissipating quickly and leaving no lacing on the glass. The color charts around SRM 6; and is golden yellow with a touch of amber hues. This is a cloudy beer. The appearance is standard for this style.
The first few whiffs; I smell crackers, passion fruit(come across a sweeter pear note), pineapple, and lemon.
I taste passion fruit, cereal grains, lightly toasted malts, pineapple, a touch of floral, lemon, and tart apples.
The mouthfeel is tart and dry. The body is light, has medium carbonation, and has a quick finish.
A standard sour, but well done. The fruit creates harmony; furthermore, the sourness is not overpowering. I could drink several of these beers on a cool summer night. I enjoyed this beer!
