We brew this beer with an eye towards the return of the flowers to the mountains as the snow begins to melt and the eternal power of Spring flexes her muscles. “Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them, and you have their shoes.” – Jack Handy

Rated 4-23-2019. Don't really remember this beer, but from my rating it must have been really good. Fremont brews some really good beers and this one is no exception.

Good mouth feel..very smooth and easy.
A good clear IPA/APA..very easy and tastes nowhere near the 7% alc

Palate Contaminants: other beer
Color is a light gold. It's almost clear, yet there's a good amount of refraction. A bit of fine head that goes away quickly. Minimal lacing.
Smell has sweet red grapefruit, pine resin, and lemongrass. It's like a greatest hits of volatilized hop essences. It's fairly rich, too.
It definitely has what I've finally begun to realize is the characteristic flavor of an oat brew. (I can be slow.) It's something approaching sweet rye bread, and it might make a blindfolded person think it's a dark beer. A little spiciness, too. The grapefruit isn't so much in the taste, although there's some citrus present. One could almost have this for desert in lieu of a lightly sweet cake. That puts it toward moderate-heavy sweetness for the type of brew, though.
I don't get a while lot of carbonation, and it at first seems a little thin. At least the flavor is rich and hangs around on the tongue.

Bought 6pk cans on Mar. 1/19. Drank Mar.2
6 pk cans pkgd on Feb. 7/19.
Pours clear straw.
But...
This beer is only 3 weeks old....but has tons of copious tiny floaties in suspension.
There is no mention from the company materials of this beer being an unflitered offering...so this is unexpected and a bit offputting.
Not a complement to their Lush IPA at all. A "smart Seasonal".

22oz bottle. No apparent date. Beer is on the yellow side of a pale amber, crystal clear, with moderate white head. Aroma is delicious, with fruit more so than flowers in the nose: peach, melon. Flavor has classic IPA proportions, grapefruit and papaya, with bitterness restrained enough to be highly drinkable, even at the proportions of a 7.0% brew. Finish is clean.
Mouthfeel is on the sharp/fizzy side -- maybe the intent was for a spring IPA?

12oz can served in a tulip. Packaged 1/16/19.
Pours clear pale golden yellow. Small to medium head, not much carbonation. Smell is citrus and pine resin.
Taste is very bitter, with citrus and tropical juice, and melon (but probably predisposed to experience that because I read the word in the description).
Mouthfeel is dry, light, very crisp. Overall, an very good IPA.

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Packaged 1/9/19, so about 4 weeks ago.
Appearance: light golden-yellow hue with just a dash of haze and a thick finger of frothy white foam. A nice-looking IPA.
Smell: overall a very floral hop aroma, but with subtle variations. There's a bit of earthy dankness up front, but a smooth and delightful melony fruitiness right at the end. Not bad!
Taste: floral hop flavor along with a slightly bready hop character yield a little bit of soapiness, but I kind of like that. This feels more like a regular pale ale than an IPA, but it's still a nice, drinkable beer.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess that really works for me. Quite good for the style.
Overall: a nicely drinkable beer. It definitely drinks easier than its 7% ABV would suggest; I like it.
