What you hold in your hand represents our homage to uncompromising quality, fresh ingredients, and a restless dedication to creativity. BBW#8 finds us in the verdant valleys and rolling hills of Southern Germany as we enjoy the once ubiquitous Helles style of lager. Meaning bright or pale, Helles were generally replaced by pilsners as the preferred style of beer in Germany. We offer this classic yet oddly overlooked style because you, Bellingham, are classic and were once overlooked…Ahh, remember those days. So, once again, congratulations Bellingham Beer Week−this long, strange trip lurches forward into Year Eight stronger than ever. And, Thank You, Washington Craft Beer Lover.

16oz can served in a pint glass. Brother in law picked it up at the brewery yesterday. Dated 4/9/19.
Poured clear light golden until the very end of the can, then I got some cloudy/chunky sediment. I'm going to ignore that. Smell is light, grassy, slightly lemony, some yeast.
Taste is surprisingly bitter, mild lemon, more grass, more yeast.
Mouthfeel is light, dry, crisp. Overall, nice refreshing light beer.

160z can poured into16oz Stange. Poured a cloudy straw yellow color with over 3 inches of white fluffy head that had good retention and lacing. i would have given the appearance a higher score except for the cloudiness.
Really nice grain and gentle hops greet the nose, and combine to create an almost stereotypical "beer" scent. Same on the tongue, earthy grains, and gently floral hops blend nicely.
The body was perhaps a touch fuller than I look for in the style, was smooth across the tongue, and had a slightly sweet finish. Drinkability was very nice, I'll likely have a couple more while it's around. Overall, a very nice brew, worth trying if you see it.

Clear golden brew with plenty of foam in the tall goblet. Spritzy mouthfeel and a light body. Clean and crisp. Some hints of hops with a wee resiny finish. A touch of toast.
Some Cream of Wheat cereal taste along with a hit of sweetness. It's a really delicate and delicious malty flavor. While this brew is nothing extravagant, it's a sterling example of the Helles style. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Belliingham.
