a unique combination of hops in this heady collaboration. i was stoked to find a can of this, and in typical fremont hoppy beer fashion, it was massively impressive beer! quite a hazy one, but with such curious and nuanced hop character in aroma and flavor that i dont mind that, and never really find it heavy because its so interesting, maybe if i had more than one that would change, but this never drank as robust as it really is, at least for me. i dont know much about callista hops, but i can deduce that all the ripe stone fruit in here is from it, as the pineapple character of the mosaic is also obvious, as is the distinctive berry quality of the 692, which to me has tasted like strawberries and raw coconut in the past, and kind of does a similar dance here, the combination of all of them is amazing, but definitely some peach and papaya coming from the callista, id love to taste these in a single hop context! this is madly juicy, dripping and ripe, and there is no bitterness at all. a little green pellet character for a flash, but its short lived and finishes kind of smooth in the end. relaxed carbonation and a lot of protein let the unique hops linger on the palate, kiwi fruit and white grape come out as it warms, which it does well. a little fuller feeling sure, but the hops are so fresh and alive that i can hardly set it down. really dug this one, two heavy hitters getting together for it and they nailed it, a really solid collaboration, a beer they should keep on brewing. this hop complexion is fire!

Hazy pale amber with long-lasting swirls of foam in the Kasteel chalice. Melon and peach aroma is quite entrancing. A sudsy and sharp on the tongue. The raw grains (wheat and rolled oats) give it just enough of the silky mouthfeel without gunking up the proceedings. Flavor is a delicious fruity mix with papaya leading the taste, plus some pineapple and a tart citrus finish. Just a little of the hop stew sensation.

Moderately sweet to go with all the fruit. Overall, a delicious and highly drinkable hoppy brew. It's an outstanding example of the New England style, losing the usual murky taste for a clean, fruity intensity. From the 16 oz can purchased in Eugene.

Appearance is hazy straw with a generous white head that has good retention and lacing. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit with floral notes. Lightly sweet on the palate with flavors of guava and lemon. Finishes with a lingering mild bitterness.

16oz can poured in a pint glass. Picked it up at the brewery this morning. Packaged 08/08/19.

Pours a slightly hazy light yellow color with a medium sized head and medium to low carbonation. Smell is tropical juice, lemon and pine.

Taste is right along the same lines -- lemon and pine come across more than the tropical juice, though. Resinous bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, sticky. Overall, it's good.
