This rendition is solid. Solid caramel malt backbone, grapefruit zest, light pine, a bit of astringency also. Medium lighter bodied, good carbonation, nice smoothness though a bit too astringent on the backend for me.

16 oz. Can
PKG: 07/22/20

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy pale yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, peach, papaya, cataloupe, nectarine), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is very nice hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, peach, papaya, cataloupe, nectarine), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake! Nice to see it around here.

16oz can served in a can-shaped Flat Stick Pub glass. Dated 07/22/20.

Pours hazy light whitish-orange with a medium sized head. Smell is tropical fruit and resin.

Taste is strong but not in-your-face tropical juice, I might getting a hint of coconut which I would probably attribute to sabro. Resin also present but not in-your-face.

Mouthfeel is medium, moderately dry. Overall, nice beer.

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Pale golden , hazy, persistent finely beaded head, solid lacing. Aroma features soft citrusy notes. Taste brings fuller citrus flavors, grapefruit, lemon, plus gentle white bread flavors. Soft, smooth, velvety textures with a late dry, bitterness.

From my little sister's fridge, into a shaker...pours a thick, dense, slightly chalky honey. Nose and taste are similar, but it is even better on the tongue...very fine and has a few layers: i get a really nice melange of fruit -- tangerine, papaya, cantaloupe. The flavors are soft and juicy, but there's some nice liveliness, too, and even a little bite. Seems like its got the flaked oat thing going, too. Very soft mouthful. This is one of the better neipa's I've had in a while.

bummed to have missed a couple of these during quarantine times, but its good to be back into one of them, sick cans on this, such cool packaging. sabro hops seem like they are taking over lately, which are incredible in a dry hop context and seem to play well with many others, they are extremely in vogue at the moment. the centennial is a unique addition too, a more familiar to most, higher alpha, classic northwestern hop that works great in ipa of all types, neat to bring the old and new school together, and this beer does it well, as the whole series has really done. hazy golden color with an airy inch of white head dissipating slowly, lighter than others have looked to me. it smells and tastes amazing, the sabro right up front and lasting the whole drink, raw coconut, mandarin orange, lemongrass, fresh pine, and a neat herbal mix, very distinctive hop profile with the different varietals coming together nicely, and almost no bitterness at all to me on this, even as it warms. fully saturated on the hops, juicy and dry hoppy obviously, but not green in the least, nothing forced or overdone about it, so this level of flavor is especially impressive without the rough edges. i think sabro is here to stay, amazing in most contexts so far, but really cool with the centennial and comet here. i hope to not miss any more beers from this series, they are some of the best ipa types that come around! this is awesome, one of my favorites so far!

16oz canned 7/22 poured into a Sam Smith nonic.

A: Medium-hazy straw-gold with a fluffy white head.

S & T: Fairly vibrant fresh hop character; orange rind; green hop pellets; resin; tropical; kiss of mango, pine, pineapple.

MF: Soft, smooth body, slightly bitter finish.

O: Easy-drinking; the Centennial brings a nice old-school hoppyness into this one (pine and resin) that plays will with a tropical fruitiness.

16oz can (canned 7/28/2020) into a tulip. Pours a hazy pale golden color with a nice bright sudsy white head.

Aroma is punchy tropical goodness: mango, pineapple, grapefruit.

Taste follows nose. Citrusy hops on a grainy pale malt base. Juicy and thirst quenching. Mandarin oranges in a glass.

Mouthfeel is clean and crisp, nicely balanced. Goes down easy, super drinkable.

Overall a solid IPA, perfect for a warm summer afternoon.

Fremont did a solid job on this version of Head Full of Dynomite. Pours an opaque, slightly pale orange color topped with a sudsy, thick head. Aroma is a blend of malts, melon, stone fruit and a slight herbal note. Tastes of vibrant hops with notes of citrusy tropical fruit combined with a soft malt body. Has a medium body with a crisp and refreshing mouthfeel, good amount of carbonation. Feels fresh and juicy which I love. Overall I think this a great drinkable beer that will have you wanting another. One of the best I've had from Fremont.
