Pours a hazy light orange with thick, soft head.

Smell is juicy with notes of orange juice, grapefruit, pineapple and elderflower.

Taste is juicy and crisp with notes of OJ, grapefruit, grass and pineapple. Soft bitterness, clean and refreshing.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.

Overall, a terrific NE IPA from a brewery that never disappoints.

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Hazy orange golden pour, small fluffy white head. Faint aroma, fruity, citrus, bread. Taste picks up with tangy citrus, zippy, zesty. Thick, full mouthfeel. Not the best in the series but all right.

16 oz. Can
PKG: 01/25/21

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow/orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, papaya, nectarine), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, papaya, nectarine), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake!

Appearance is moderately hazy with a nice golden orange color. Head and lacing is moderate, the head fades fairly quick.

Aroma is sweet and fruity. Smells of fresh oranges, peach and a hint of maltiness.

Taste is similar to the nose, a good balance of fruitiness with a soft malt backbone. Flavor starts with notes of peach, orange, herbs and ends with a soft, grainy maltiness.

Mouthfeel is incredibly soft and smooth, very easy to drink. Bitterness is minimal, almost no astringency. This is an all around good beer, great hop profile.

this hbc 630 must be pretty special, because this doesnt smell or taste much like citra and mosaic to me, a really known entity at this point, so i was stoked on how unique this came across, bright candied orange character, juicy mango and peach, really pretty compelling, and of course accented well by the citra and mosaic, another banger in this series, which seems to be coming faster than ever now, no complaints from me! sunny colored, lightly cloudy, frothy head from the tap, nice appearance, impossible freshness in nose and taste, subtle coconut flake beneath all the fruitiness, very little bitterness at the end, and good balance from the malt, which feels fluffy and has a faint honey note to it without interfering with the hop profile at all, a little oily and slick in texture, fuller medium bodied, very well carbonated, with a drippy stone fruit linger on the swallow, late summer goodness. this is what i want from ipa these days, enough refinement to be drinkable and something that stands out a little bit in the hop profile. this really delivers, and i am interested in more beers with this hbc 630 hop, seems like there is a ton of potential for this one! this is becoming one of my favorite series in beer!

A-dark gold haze, minimal head
S-Really nice pop of orange, berry, and bread
T-a let-down from the nose. tangerine and peaches are nice, but the malt on the back-end is not quite on-key with the rest of the beer. Slightly above average sweet and bitter.
M-Light(+), dry finish.
O-Really good, but not quite what I've come to expect from HFoD

16oz can (dates 1/25/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured the expected dense, murky orange of the style with an inch of white head that had good retention and light lacing.

The aroma was also as expected, frooty hops and no grain.

Same on the tongue. A touch of bitterness on the finish.

The body was the typical light medium of the style, smooth, and had a medium finish.

Drinkability was OK, depending on your level of love for the murksters.

Overall, average for the style.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into an IPA glass.

Look- Sudsy white head, pale gold, small particulate sediment, medium hazy, average head retention and lacing.

Smell- Clementine, grassy.

Taste- Clementine/peach transitioning to super herbaceous finish.

Feel- Thin body, average carbonation, low bitterness, extremely high astringency that lingers.

Overall- Great brewery, but this one did not match my palate.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Dated 01/25/21. Bought it at the brewery last weekend.

Pours a hazy pale golden with a fairly big fluffy head that collapses to islands and a clumpy curtain around the edges. Moderate active carbonation. Smell is grass, flowers, grain, bubblegum.

Taste is a little of the bubble gum, a really nice combination of the grain and flowers, just a bit of resin, something not quite honey but still sweet.

Mouthfeel is medium to light, fluffy, refreshing. Overall, this is a very good beer.

16oz canned 1/25, poured into a can-shaped glass.

A: Slightly darker gold, medium haze, soapy white head, minimal lace.

S: Leads with an aroma of orange fruit; not "bright" per-se, but softer, with notes of berries, peaches, and earthy spice, accompanied by a dense-smelling wheaty bread note.

T: That blueberry character is solidly throughout; I am guessing Mosaic here but it could be a mixture of the HBC 630, which (I read) is apparently berry-forward, as well as having impressions of peach and banana. That wheat character isn’t at the forefront but it is present at the beginning and throughout for sure. Nice earthy character as well as a mild spice.

MF: Pretty much medium body, with a slight dryness that arrives at the very end of the palate.

O: Pretty unique, not a blast of hops per-se, but very balanced malt and hop character.
