Mouthfeel is fizzy, but quite watery and less acidic than many of these hazies. Some pleasant notes of lime peel and melon, but the aftertaste tends toward the old oranges forgotten under the sink. Then there is the green vegetable taste and a hint of refried beans. Moderately bitter. Not one of my favirotes, though this series is usually worth a try. From the 16 oz can purchased in the far Southwest. Dated 11/08/21.

16 oz. Can
PKG: 11/08/21

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy pale yellow/orange color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some very nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, papaya, guava, melon), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, guava, melon), little sweetness going on, pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty beer. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake!

Canned 11/8. As stated, hazy pour. Thin head quickly fading away. Light floral notes on the aroma. Taste...hop forward of course, floral and earthiness taste with short persistence. Carbonation is on the light side. A decent offering and glad to have it, but it's far from memorable.

ive loved this series, and i continue to be enamored by it, but like, this one seems sloppy to me. when they hit they hit, but this misses in some ways, and for all the cryo and max and ingredient head stash, it just doesnt drink like anything special. milky and thick in the glass, short white headed from the tap, denser than i personally need it to be, and with some obvious yeastiness. the thing is that the hop profile is nice, its a fine expression of idaho 7, but beyond that its oily and sludge-like to just too much, its green and has an onion note, its fresh enough but finishes on my palate as samey and generic, and overall just doesnt start as early as i expect cryo to, or feel as bright as i want the max to, it just seems soupy, even dishwatery in a way, not as clean and resplendent as these hops should be, especially in this format. its filling, even tiring, and despite decent carbonation leaves a lot to be desired in terms of texture. i had way higher hopes for this, and if this is all these hops are capable of, than maybe idaho 7 isnt all its cracked up to be. definitely one of my least favorite beers in this series to date...

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a tulip glass.

Look- Pale gold, small amount of particulate sediment, white frothy head, hazy, average head retention, above average lacing.

Smell- Pine resin, herbal, earthy.

Taste- Pine resin, slight citrus, spicy, highly herbaceous.

Feel- Medium body, extremely astringent finish, average carbonation, moderate bitterness.

Overall- Overly herbaceous and astringent. I have had most versions of this beer and have liked recent iterations much less than the earlier ones. The price of this version was higher than it has been in the past. For a while I have been contemplating if trying the newest version is worthwhile and after this experience I have confidently come to a sad conclusion; the juice is no longer worth the squeeze.

Taster at Growler Guys. Orange golden pour, fizzy head, white ring, streaky lacing. Hoppy, piney aroma with strong citrus elements and light tropical notes. Taste is fruity and dank, juicy, tropical, citrus zest. Full mouth feel, lingering bitterness.

16oz can served in a footed pilsner. Dated 11/08/21. Bought it at the brewery two days ago.

Pours hazy amber-gold with a fairly large head with pretty good staying power. Smell is super fresh fruit juice, some resinous/leafiness, very nice. Smells like a fresh hop beer.

Taste is softer. Tropical fruit, slight melon rind, definite resin.

Mouthfeel is fluffy and soft, creamy. Overall, this is excellent.
