This beer pours a golden thick hazy color with a fairly large foamy head. The aroma is strong tropical fruit and fruit in general with some sweetness. The taste is very fruity with melon, orange and peach/mango. Mouthfeel is a little on the medium-heavy side with some sediment in the bottom of the glass. Overall, a very tasty beer and easy drinking. BOD 9-29-2024 Rated 12-19-2024

Pours a super-hazed gold with one finger pulsing bubbly pearl colored head ( assertive pour ) &lots of floaties. Fantastic head retention & lacing

S: Some citrus, papaya, grassy notes, was hoping for more nose

T: Papaya, guava, tangerine, dryness, some pomelo & a little coconut up front. Pineapple, tangerine, coconut & lime as this beer warms up. Finishes with some pronounced pineapple acidity, pomelo, a little dryness & some grassy notes

MF: Medium body, creamy carbonation, great balance

Lovely flavor, plenty juicy, nice drinkability

16 oz. Can
PKGD: 09/23/24

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, guava, mango, peach, melon, nectarine, apricot), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is very nice hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, peach, melon, nectarine, apricot), some slight sweetness, very nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake! Nice to see it around here, again.

Pour is a typical IPA, with a dense head and good lacing. A definite aroma of pine supported by a little dankness. First sip will have a half-sharp hop bitterness which quickly settles down to a pleasant, but still forward bitterness. Lots of flavor, even a hint of the malt base rounding things out. Feel is excellent, good carbonation and a long finish

Fantastic fresh-hop offering, canned 9/23 and sampled 10/7, darker than a typical HfoD I believe, but similar...I'm not sure if I've had HBC 1019 before but first off there are big impressions of Sabro here...coconut is huge but also reminiscent of mint and cedar as well as stone fruit. Really good, strong and floral, the best Fresh Hop brew I've tried in two or three years.

Always excited when this one drops.
Fresh can.
Looks the part.
I don’t know much about HBC 1019.
Smells of fruit & dry grass?
Love the crisp flavor that holds on.
Really good!

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy golden pour, ring of frothy white head. Aroma hits hard with a blast of citrus, dank notes coming in afterwards. Taste is fruity, citrus, tropical and even a little stone fruit. Small zesty bite at the finish.

16oz can served in a snulip. Can is dated 09/23/24. Bought it at the brewery yesterday.

Pours super murky white-orange, big creamy head that settles into clumps and clots. Smell is resin and menthol, light tropical juice, orange julius and cut weeds.

Taste is resinous, menthol and cut weeds before citrus zest.

Mouthfeel is super dry, chalky, smooth. Overall, very nice.

16oz can (packaged 8/28/2024) into a tulip. Pours an opaque, slightly dirty lemon drop yellow with a 1-finger head.

Aroma is bright and citrusy—grapefruit and acidic hop resin, lemon zest.

Taste leads off with that alpha-acid bite but quickly dials back on the anticipated subsequent bitterness, which is true to style but still somehow a bit disappointing. I’ve come to rely on that sharp resinous bitterness to cleanse the palate but it’s just not there with this beer. But it’s not the beer’s fault, this is a NEIPA and I guess that’s how it’s supposed to taste. So what we end up with here is a slightly one-dimensional citrus bomb.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied but again, that crisp finish is simply lacking. Again, true to style but somehow a little disappointing.

Overall this is probably not too different from previous versions of HFOFH. It’s a New England style fresh hop beer that just might not make the best use of its main ingredient. Good for what it is but maybe not a personal favorite fresh hop beer.
