I'm not a big fan of lagers, as I began my foray into beer with the standard big names. Even when I tried imports, it was usually an imported lager like Heiniken. But I had high hopes for this one and I was not disappointed.
I must have poured well as this beer poured clear yellow, with a one finger head. No yeast, at least in the first pour. It was slightly more than the capacity of my glass.
Aroma was of citrus hops, with a slightly sweet overtone. White bread lrked underneath. No hints of the standard lager yeast that most Euro lagers have.
Taste was more toward the pine, with a light sweetness. There were some white bread and cracker flavors that faded into a slightly bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel was very crisp and clean. Very easy drinking.
Overall a very good beer and an excellent example of the style.

Poured from a 16.9oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains strong grassy hops, citrus, lager yeast and light caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out with a strong grassy hops bitterness that is quickly followed by some breadiness from lager yeast and a hearty but not too heavy malt character. Some mild citrus and caramel sweetness brings a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly bready.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, it’s a solid beer but there are others in the style that I would choose first.

Pours a lightly hazy orange-straw color with 2 fingers of pure white head. The head settles into a halo around the top of the beer, leaving a ton of lacing as it dissipates.
The aroma brings some subtle notes of toasted grains, citrusy hops, and a faint wave of grass on the back end.
The flavor has a tart, lemony hop character up front, followed by some sweeter tropical notes, finished off by a ton of doughy malt and toasted cereal grains.
The feel is lighter in body with pretty lively carbonation. Creamy and smooth, yet refreshing.
Overall, a pretty good lager. It's on the hoppier side, but it's nicely balanced and extremely drinkable. I say this way too much but it's definitely a great beer for a hot day.

Hazy, straw colored brew with a hint of green. Moderate head but it recedes very slowly. Modest number of spots on the glass for lace.
Crisp aroma with a fresh mowed grass aroma. In the background is grapefruit and a touch of pine.
The taste starts like a pilsner with very lightly malted grain flavor. The hop is strong enough to show up before the swallow. Yet, the swallow is not harsh and the aftertaste lingers a very long time. The body leans rich, especially considering the style and the color. Ample carbonation, too. While the taste isn't as complex as the aroma, this is still a very interesting brew worth seeking out.
