Little Whaleboat Islands (made up of Little Whaleboat, Nate and Tuck) are a cluster of 3 small islands and ledges in Casco Bay, a vital link in the chain of protected islands conserved by Maine Coast Heritage Trust. Protection of these islands provides sanctuary to a range of wildlife including seals, seabirds, shorebirds, and wading birds, while preserving a unique place off the coast of Maine for future generations to experience.

Yeah, so nobody makes brews like Maine Beer Co. The live yeast pitched in the bottle makes a super crispy bite and lush feel. Golden grainy malt with a fresh and assertive hop complexity makes them endlessly interesting. An earthy, herbal effect to fin.

thanks to my brother for sourcing this one, aways a treat, and a way too rare one for me these days, to drink beer from these guys. this is a cool one, unique hop profile, light enough to drink in the pale ale range to me, insanely high quality as always with them, especially their hoppy stuff, just bursting and vibrant and exciting. this is insanely pale, radiant sunny yellow in the glass with a lasting inch of thick frothy head, looks fantastic, ring lacing on each pull, bubbly and jovial the whole way. aroma of clementine, snappy green grape and apple, white peach, juniper, and cut flowers, springy and summery more than autumnal, dry and delicate with pils type malt base it seems, foundational and supportive but out of the way, and a neutral ferment but almost lager level crispness, wow this is really unique in this style space, dying to know what the hops are! a little more tropical in the flavor to me, pineapple crush and sweet orange and mango, delicate though despite being dry hoppy, nothing green or heavy and the overall refinement on this is off the charts. its so clean and dry, but so balanced with lighter bitterness and body both. white florals, white wine, pineapple candy, and meyer lemon. delicious, modern, timeless, infinitely drinkable, rushing bubbles, uplifting beer overall, loved it!

Had a single draft at Maine Beer Company in Freeport, Maine for nine dollars. My seventh brew from these guys. I believe that this is new? Very solid.

Had on tap [fire & hops], hazy orange brew, white head with outstanding lacing.
Strong scent of mango, pineapple, orange pulp, accompanied by a grassy piney back.
Taste iswWonderful combination of citrus, hops, smooth transition to a crisp bitter finish, with just enough alcohol heft.
Outstanding IPA, outstanding build of flavors - simultaneously savory and refreshing

500 ml bottle, bottled 10/03/23, purchased at the brewery tap room in Freeport. Look: very slightly hazed goldenrod, 1 finger of head that subsides fairly quickly. Nose is ambrosial: perfectly ripened tropical fruit (mango, passion fruit), some fresh wet fir needles, maybe a little herbal earthiness, and a very interesting breadfruity malt. Taste follows the nose: big round full flavors that burst with kind of a round fruity and foresty goodness that comes to a fantastic sun-kissed slightly sweet finish. Moderate mouthful, moderate carb: no real bitterness, no zip, but it isn't a soft mouthful either...very smooth and lingers in a clean and moderately dry way. Absolutely delicious beer, in a very mellow and unpossessing way.

500 ml bottle, bottled October 03 2023, pretty impressive considering this beer is imported to Chicago from Maine, I've had it in the fridge for like 4 days already, and it's only two weeks old.
A: Excellent color; pale earthy yellow. Nice finger of fresh soapy white froth, lots of tiny spotty lacing. Excellent, excellent.
S: Clean, earthy, floral, grassy. Lemongrass, pith.
T: Taste follows - smooth, clean malt profile, earthy herbal hops - piney & resinous, floral & grassy. Super delicious & nicely balanced,
F; Smooth & clean. Super drinkable, nearly quenching, excellent for the 6.5% abv.
Overall, nearly everything Maine Beer Company puts out is revealed to be world-class beer & super under-rated. I would not be lying if I said their beer is some of the best I have always had, PERIOD. This one here is no exception. Not quite in the class i would place Lunch in, but the profile is sooo clean, and the quality of all ingredients that went into this offering show wholeheartedly.

Disappointing, pretty mellow, not much flavor that i could detect, drinkable with an ipa tinge, but i want more much better offers from Maine vs. this one.

Look is very thin and watery with a wet foam head. Smell and taste are delicious though... Aftertaste is noble! A very good IPA at 6% ABV. Really a gem...

The beer pours a creamy white head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a clear pale golden straw that looks really nice.
The smell is pretty good. It has a nice aroma of soft tropical fruits like mango and stone fruit as well as a light floral note like chamomile and a hint of rose. There is also a sharp and brief note of hop bitterness in the finish.
The taste is pretty good. It has mostly a strong floral note of rose and chamomile with a sharp pine bitterness in the finish.
The feel is good. It has a fairly light body with a smooth texture and biting carbonation. It has a dry yet refreshing finish.
Overall, it's a pretty good beer and very nice to have a regular, normal IPA.

This IPA is an amber color with a white head, and a citrus/fruit nose. The taste starts with a similar taste before the mouthfeel turns into an overcarbonated feeling. Once that happens, the flavor nuances become impossible to discern.
