Bought at Binny's Lincoln Park Chicago. (Our metro has a large central and eastern European populations and Baltic, too. So their immigrant population imports some surprising specialities from those countries... that is how I got Legenda.)
In these northern cultures, beer is secondary to spirits for, well, warmth. So, beers are for refreshment. And Legenda is not much more than that. It Looks slightly above average with a blonde/pale body and nice foam that sticks around the glass. But Smells are below average; mostly malt, no spicing in my nose. Tastes improve; there is balance, malts are countered with sufficient hops. Medium-bodied in my mouth, this is bubbly and refreshing. I had Legenda with Italian dish (ricotta gnocchi in a marinara sauce) and it let the food work and cleansed the palate.
Birzy has a nice story told by their impressive website. (And fortunately, I did find the English button.) The brewery is finishing its fifth century and, along the way, took on Bavarian styles and technology after it was privatized after Communism fell. It might be a little micro-cosm of Lithuanian history.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
