The appearance of this beer is nothing to write home about. Decent lacing and head but a kind of bland appearance. The smell is all raspberry. A very pleasant smell but deceptive. The raspberry flavor comes out strong in the taste but is balanced well with the malt and hop flavors.
A very good fruit beer from a good brewery. Don't look for this in your area unless you live near Detroit. They currently do not bottle. But you can take home a growler or 5.

On-tap into a pint glass. Pours a witbier color, straw and pale yellow, opaque, with a half-finger of white head on top. Looks okay, but nothing great, although the lacing is solid. Nose is straight raspberries, nothing else. Basically smells like raspberry juice (does that exist?). Taste is similar. If you blindfolded someone, I think you could convince them this was carbonated raspberry juice. Very sweet, with an overwhelming raspberry character. Very weird, and not even really beer, from my point of view, but definitely unique. Oddly enough, though, I liked it, so I'd recommend it, although I'm not sure if I'd have too many of them.
