Thank you drizzam for sharing your growler.

A - The body is pale yellow with a slight haze. The head is very frothy and two or more inches thick with solid stamina and very nice lacing.

S - It has a wheat maltiness and accent of blueberries.

T - Again, a wheat base with a crisp blueberry accent. The blueberries by no means overwhelm the beer. They're simply present.

M - Slightly coarse with a crisp finish.

~ The flavor and ABV make this wheat mild enough and tasty enough to session.

Got a growler of this from a friend of mine that I work with. I love the fact that Vierling gives you a cup of fresh blueberries to go with the beer. I'm reviewing the beer sans fruit and will add it later after I've reviewed.

A - Poured a hazy pale wheat in color topped by a surprising one finger bright white head. I was surprised by the very nice head that had better than average retention. It left a nice veil of lacing down the inside of my glass.

S - Smells like fresh blueberries with a hint of wheat lingering around in the background. Smells delicious.

T & M - An ample wheat body is accented very nicely by the flavor of fresh Upper Peninsula Blueberries. The flavor of the blueberries was right on, not artificial like some fruit beers can be. This beer is medium bodied and very crisp. It leaves a slight but pleasant aftertaste of (what else) fresh blueberry.

D - This is a dangerously drinkable brew. I added the blueberries to the beer after reviewing and it kicked the carbonation into high gear! It also doubled the size of the head and made the lacing double down the inside of my glass. The fruit added a nice nuance to the brew and made it possibly even more drinkable. A very solid offering froma brewery I've not tried until now...I look forward to trying their Coffee Porter!

A-Slightly hazed golden yellow with a medium purple streaked white head with waves purple juice emanating from the FRESH blueberries residing on the bottom of the glass. Head reduces slightly and leaves spotty lace.

S-Lightly sweet wheat and a blast of FRESH U.P. MI blueberries!

T-Healthy wheat malt backbone that adds light biscuit like sweetness alongside the present yet subtle blueberry notes. A slight sour twang in the finish,

M-Light bodied and actually a bit thin feeling. The blueberry flavours help but this one is pretty average.

D-When you have quality, fresh, local blueberries available why not put them to good use? The wheat beer base is good on it's own....the addition of the FRESH blueberries is simply icing on the cake!
