This West Coast IPA was made to be a session IPA. It is very light gold in color with an intensely hopped nose. It has a high citrus hop flavor with a dry crisp aftertaste. This version was made with a wild yeast.

On Tap at Beer Authority in NYC
12/12/13 – Standard pint glass
Stoked to find my very first Kuhnhenn brew!
A: Pours a super light golden straw blonde color with nice clarity and streaming carbonation evident. Fluffy snow white cap pillow top with nice hang time and lots of dotted lacing that sticks to the glass.
S: Lemony aromas mix with some white wine and grapefruit notes. Fairly hoppy and more so than expected. There is a light grainy malt character coming through with some sweet florals. Nothing particularly wild to me but a light Belgian spice yeast noted.
T: Tropical with grapefruit, white wine, herbs, and citrus peel. Has a bit of that Citra gooseberry character. Very tasty with a mild hint of Belgian style yeast. Soft clove and bubblegum mostly with just a dash of lemony perfume. There is a relatively high hop bitterness for this low ABV beer and some light grainy cracker malt at the base. Must have some Pils or Wheat malt in there. Very dry and refreshingly sessionable - light, hoppy, and crisp.
M: Very light body with a super dry finish. Crisp and snappy on the palate with a high hop bitterness that is resinous long after the sip.
D: Deliciously hopped and refreshingly light sessions here. I have not had the original Fluffer but I really enjoyed this one. The “Wild” side is pretty tame to be honest but this is still quite flavorful.

From 12/11/13 notes. Finally had this on tap at Beer Authority in NYC.
a - Pours a somewhat clear pale yellow color with two inches of fluffy off white head and moderate carbonation evident.
s - Smells of spice, floral hops, fruity malts, tropical fruits, bananas, yeast, and bready malts. Nice fruit and hops to it, I like the nose quite a bit.
t - Tastes of citrus hops, spice, pepper, yeast, tropical fruits, fruity malts, cloves, bananas, bready malts, and biscuit malts. More spice and yeast here.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. Body is super smooth and easy to drink. Very sessionable, which seems like what they were going for.
o - Overall I like this one; while not sour or funky at all from the wild yeast, it is fruity and interesting, and the hops come through but don't dominate in the nose. Very easy to drink, you could have a few of these. Worth checking out., though I like the normal Fluffer better, and seeing it on tap with DRIPA it would hard to drink this over that, unless you want a beer with half the ABV.
