Served in a biggish-looking tulip glass. Forms a puffy but dense dark brown head pretty immediately. I swear it has hints of pink in it. Body is jet black. According to the menu, this has been aged for a year.
Creamy, milky chocolate aroma with just the tiniest hints of cherry. Mouthfeel's a bit thin, but let's not get too picky. This thing is amazing. Stronger than hell but not a sign of alcohol anywhere to be found. Sweet, mildly sugar cherries, chocolate, and malt up front. Swept away by a sour cherry fruit finish and a sweeping dryness.
