Fruity and sweet aromas begin this light fruit wit beer. It is tangy tart, medium bodied and has effervescent qualities. It has a crisp sweet bite and is an extremely balanced.

Poured straight from the tap at the Kuhnhenn pub.

This one immediatly sparked my curiosity of a recent visit, not only do I love raspberries to begin with, but what straight man in his right mind doesn't get interesting ideas in his head just from the name of this one?

All academics aside, this one pours a glittering gold color with carbonation abounds, a thick fluffy head accompanied. On first taste you immediatly get the tang of carbonation on your toungue followed by the strong raspberry flavor, too good! Some malt and hop flavors were in the background but the raspberry dominated. This makes it sound as if the raspberry is overpowering, but it's not as it's a natural type of flavor, quite delicious.

I will have to revisit this one again.

There are a couple good fruit beers out there that seem to be non-descript ales (i.e., not clearly a lambic or a stout or another style) with a powerful fruit character -- DFH Aprihop being one of my favorites.

This one is among the best.

First, a word of caution: If you don't like fruit beers, don't bother with this. You're wasting your time. But tossing aside the whole "I don't want fruit in my beer" thing and just looking at what this is and what it's supposed to be, this beer kicks ass.

Thick, huge, poofy pink head sits atop a hazy pink brew. Massive head. Settles in and lingers for quite a while. Aromas are of tart acidity and rapsberries. Pretty straight forward. Sour raspberry flavor. Any subtlties are pretty much masked by the raspberry. Some people might call that cowardice; I call it fucking tasty. It's a bit thin, and I can definitely imagine all but the most hardliner of fruit beer fans getting antsy for a change after one or two of these. But this is just a superb fruit brew, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
