I sampled this at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Fest.
A: Amber, hazy, white head, nice retention, some lace.
S: Strawberry, slight tart/sour acidity, candy-fruit (somewhat fake), a little wheaty.
T: Strawberry, fairly dry, tart finish. Interesting, but not a lot of depth.
M: Light to moderate body & carbonation.
D: Refreshing, but not really to my liking.

An optimistic start, but that was about it. Poured from the tap to a hazy reddish auburn color with a small head of white foam. Aromas of strawberries were swirling around, with notes of other berries and mild malt, with a hint of yeast. Quite nice. Unfortunately, the ride kind of stopped there. The flavor was indeed strawberry-ish, but not a fresh, sharp strawberry as I had hoped for. Flavors of stringy mild, unsweetened strawberries, flat malts and a touch of grainy yeast were all I really got out of this one. Quite bland when compared to the Tangerine version. Mouthfeel was uneventful and rather flat and a touch milky. Drinkability is average at best. Needs something, I just can't put my finger on it...
