Copenhagen 1/3 2026. 33 cl tall slim can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Light blue can with red writing. Plain and simple.
Pours clear amber with as quite big white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,1 cm thick layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a rather strong sweet malty odor mingling with a bit of sour grains. sweet pale malts, bread and unripe berries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather song sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a while. Finish is a little dry.
Not a bd take on a Helles.

Hijos de Rivera specializes in Bavarian styles. And we need to rate them against the Bavarian masters, which the Hijos obviously can not be... for a while. But they are dedicated to brining that beer culture to the wine-dominated culture north of Portugal. And for that and this being my third from them, I give them good Overall Hugs. Salud ! (or however that is said in the Galician dialect.)
1906 La Milueve is a good strong Helles. At 6.5 ABV, it lacks the subtle lagering of its parent. Nonetheless, it's amber Looks inviting and I want to drink it. Smells are mostly malt, and really average. But its Tastes are balanced, just enough hops in the finish. Good bubbles, almost medium-mouthed.
I only drank this while eating bread, but I think it would be a good table lager... albeit a bit strong for lunch.

Drunk at my home in Algorta (Spain) on Spanish Constitution's Day 2024. Drunk on a Flute Glass.
-Pours a long foam head with dark champagne colour.
-Brandy like smell. Grassy.
-Bitter Helles pilsener taste.
-Mouthfull. Carbonation can be perceived but it is not huge.
A good Spanish brew.
