Black as the darkest night and as rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true Stout lover. This is a full-bodied and flavor packed ale that draws it's robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling beers, year after year.

Stouts are not my favorite style of beer, so tried to be fair rating this one. It has some body to it and the roasted malt is not overly bitter. At the time it was one of their Flagship beers which is understandable.

draught
Light ivory head. Very dark brown, with chestnut highlights, around the edge of the glass. Restrained, dark roasted grains, with a whiff of dark caramel malt, for the aroma. Body and flavor is too thin. Flavor of dark roasted grain with a whiff of coffee and touch of wood, for the flavor. What flavors there are, are pretty good though.

gorgeous from the tap at their new tacoma facility, although im not sure all the beers they were pouring there were actually brewed on site, although many of them certainly were. such a cool spot, i could have been drinking just about anything and been happy walking around in here, wow! the stout itself is simple but pleasant, maybe the slightest bit of crimson at the edges, otherwise darn close to black, creamy tan headed, and very roasty on the grain side here. its bitter but not burnt, earthy but not smoked, and maybe somewhat lighter to drink than is common, but i quite like the sessionable nature of this. its dry but still has some linger on the finish from the dark grain, there is leftover bitterness from hops it appears too, curious because this doesnt really drink hoppy until the very end, quite northwestern in that way, but not approaching a black ipa or anything, its more mellow than that. smooth to drink, not real heavy in body or anything, plenty bubbly, and sort of warming and satisfying without being filling. maybe a subtle english type yeast element here, but overall pretty basic but well executed beer. if there is a negative association with this place and their beer, i dont really know why, i dont know the story or anything, but i had a really killer experience here at the tacoma location!

Thin but solid head with fine tan bubbles. Super toasty roasty vibes. Coffee malt milk balls. Hint of licorice. Smokey. Tastes like a cigarette. Some might say acetone.

L: Dark Brown to nearly black. A ring of head only with good lacing.

S: Hazelnuts and coffee. Simple bit quite nice.

T: Follows the nose with a bitterness from the carbonation. Light roasty notes.

F: Good Medium weight with ample carbonation.

O: A great stout for no noticeable chocolate notes. This is one to try.

Draft at Bend brewpub. Typical stout aroma and flavor. Body is lacking, kind of thin, decent overall aroma and flavor but kind of weak in body and substance.
