Brewed with blackberries. Handsome dark amber in the nonic with a modest head. A fruity note in the aroma. Spritzy in the mouth. A substantial body and leafy, slightly murky flavors.
There is a pleasant berry tang along with the sweet maltiness that makes a brief appearance. The rye makes its scratchy, resiny presence known. The hops taste a little earthy at first, but there is some fruity flavor as well. And then the biter aftertaste, but it makes for a very interesting trip. Rather warm and malty overall with a distinct fruity tang.
Brewer says this is made with rye and wheat malt with Amarillo and Mosaic hops. Very decent refreshing brew. On tap at Roseburg Station.
