It would seem this is a love it or hate it beer. To the natural pumpkin beer connoisseur, this one misses the mark. It has very little "pumpkin" backbone. It would appear that it is more of a pumpkin pie spice ale than a pumpkin ale.

With that said, it would get a 5 from me if it were pumpkin pie spice ale, but since it's not, it gets a 4. Would like to see head last a little longer and more lacing. It has a wonderful aroma that's sweet and caramelly. It's aroma tells you this veer is sweeter than it actually is... which is nice. It has a creaminess that reminds you of whipped cream along with traits of nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla. This beer cleans up quite a bit when cold, but is best enjoyed chilled.

It has a medium body with an orange/amber or copper color. It truly reminds me of fall!

All in all, it misses the mark that it's name suggests a little bit, and maybe that's enough to anger some. However, I think this is a great spiced ale that just screams "FALL." I thoroughly enjoyed this beer. Glad I bought two 6-packs!

12 oz poured into pint glass. Wanted something seasonal. Should've let it "warm up" a bit.

L - Pours a fittingly hazy orange/copper color with a good inch of amber head that dissipates after a few sips. Leaves a good lacing throughout.

S - Should've read the fine print that it's brewed with molasses because that definitely hits up front very strongly/unpleasantly. Some spice, pumpkin, and citrus follow but the molasses overpowers any presence of malt or hops or anything beer-like.

T - Tastes like sweet molasses. And sour fruit, corriander, clove, cinnamon spices, very little pumpkin. Very little redeeming quality as far as taste.

F - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Slightly sticky and thick mouthfeel/aftertaste.

O - Picked up for the seasonal availability and cheaper price. There's better pumpkin ales out there.

Tap Room No.21 Pumpkin Ale.

World isn't a brewery I see too much out of. The beers I have had from them were pretty blah. Even their attempts at the adjunct category sucked for the most part. Despite the fact it's basically Winter, I picked this up as part of my Kroger mix a six since I never had it. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Let's do it.

Look - From the twelve ounce bottle hard poured into a dimpled pint glass. Poured a moderately clear orangeish amber copper...well it's a paint palate of different colors mixed into one. The head is about a finger and a quarter in height and is a bit darker than bone white. Doesn't stick around long and eventually dies down to a thick ring amongst the top of the swill. Carbonation appears to be dead at this point. Looks rather thick like there is something artificial going on here but we'll see. No lacing after a finished glass.

Smell - Alright let me be the first to say this is easily the most authentic pumpkin nose I have ever gotten out of the style. They even somehow managed to capture the whippes cream it seems. Not going to deceipher this one, but it is impressive and it smells like Fall which I am already missing.

Taste - Y'know I can see how people would want to bitch and moan about this kind of beer given the style and who brews it, but despite whether or not these flavors are artificial, these guys know how to make a tasty fucking pumpkin ale. The usual pie spices as you would expect somehow including the whipped creamy like topping. Not too sweet, not too pumpkiny, just fucking right.

Feel - The body on this beer is also just right for the style and exactly what I have been looking for in a pumpkin ale. Sits moderately full with just a touch of lightness on the back end. Carbonation is on the higher side of the low spectrum. Beer swallows easy peasy lemon squeasy and leaves you awaiting the next sip.

Overall - Say what you will about this beer but this is one of, if not THE best tasting pumpkin ale on the market. I get it, it's ultra cool to hate on pumpkin beers and some of you get your rocks off on bashing a style you probably enjoy in your moms basement. But I'll give these guys credit where credit is due. Artificial or not, this is a good beer..

12 oz bottle served in a pint glass. "Brewed and bottled by the Rivertown Brewing Co. ,,, OH".

Pours with a clear orange-amber body, although there was a bit of sediment at the bottom of the bottle despite a full pour. The thin head disappears almost immediately.

Attractive aroma of spiced toffee and baked bread.

Flavor: lightly sweet but in harmony with the other flavor characteristics. Moderate-high spicing, about typical for style, but with a strong vein of vanilla.

Feel: light-medium body with overly light carbonation.

This one was brewed in Lockland, OH for World Brews. Pours an orangey amber with a small head, dissipating rapidly, but leaving lacing as you enjoy the beer. A bit of pumpkin in the nose and mouth with some spice as well.

One of my top 3 pumpkin beers of the season. Has a good pumpkin flavor and almost seems to have a caramel dark after taste. Must try it if you are into craft beers especially fruit type beers

Decent pumpkin ale. Had at a Halloween party last week end. It was this or bud light so the choice was obvious. I like the slight molasses taste with the pumpkin flavor. My first beer by this brewery. Might get again if I saw it.

Light head, no lacing. Smells sweet like sugary molasses with very very little pumpkin aroma. Taste is cold and sweet, watered down, with hardly ay pumpkin or pumpkin spice to be found. Not very good, but quenches the thirst quite well

This beer looked and smelled like a Pumpkin. Taste however was too sweet. Tasted like frosting on a Pumpkin Pie. I am not a fan of the molasses and Pumpkin.
