I consider myself lucky to have had this excellent kellerbier on cask.
Very clear yellow with a white head and some lace. Plenty of carbonation, especially for a beer on cask. On the nose, grassy hops dominate, almost wet and fresh in character with a mild butter character. Excellent hop aroma, and the mild cracker-like malt character make for an excellent kellerbier. On the palate, it opens grassy and is so freshly hoppy, it's rather nuts. Bittering is fairly high, with a mild biscuit malt character. Mild butteriness is present, and the carbonation is very high for cask, and it works well with the bitterness. While light in body, there is a little heft to the palate, and a slight yeasty character. Excellent and quaffable.
