Poured at thr source in a Seamp Head snifter. This one came out with a big coffe oatmeal aroma. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, bitter, earthy. Thick mouthfeel to start that seems to thin as I go. Sweetness on the aftertaste. Adequate carbonation. Only complaint is that I get a sour cherry note sticking with me later on in the glass, which I’m not a big fan of for this style. Really clashes with the hearty body. Started out outstanding and ended as mediocre. Prefer the Midnight Oil.

Single finger head on a jet black body with excellent lacing. Aroma includes dark chocolate, minimally bitter roasted malts with some vanilla. Flavors of oak, pine resin, espresso, finishing with dark chocolate, with roasted malts throughout. Medium to full body and moderate carbonation. It's good but not memorable or special in any way. Fir me beers that are done form if anniversary should be different and emit able which this isn't to make it a higher rated beer
