Appearance: Quite dark cola black with deep ruby edges. Head retention is good but no real lacing. Head is a root-beer float color.
Nose: Milk chocolate and soft vanilla at first. Chocolate covered blueberries, cola, and buttery dark fruit.
Taste: Thin cola at first, not a thick mouthfeel, milk chocolate. Syrupy in the end with a linger....but not overpowering. The finish turns to dark chocolate. Dark chocolate bite with a touch of raspberry tart at the end. Alcohol heat is very slightly present halfway through.
Notes: first review as a stay-at-home dad to Charlie!
