Our Long Weekend IPA will change the way you look at IPA! Brewed with a generous portion of flaked oats that provide a creamy, velvet-like mouthfeel, this IPA takes nearly all of its hops (Chinook, Mosaic and Citra) as late additions and dry hops during fermentation, resulting in big aromas and flavors of grapefruit and cantaloupe with very little bitterness. Whether you're sitting around a bonfire with friends, hitting the beach, or hiking your favorite trail, Long Weekend is the perfect addition to extra hours and a surplus of sunshine.

Look - hazy and golden, small head that left little lacing
Smell - woody aromatic, malt, spice, melon
Taste - melon, spice, malt, hoppy
Feel - medium mouthfeel and carbonation, woody and spicy hop finish
Overall - Gotta give thanks to my sister for bringing me this solid brew back from North Carolina. Enjoyed sipping this down while listening to 13 Angels by Corrosion of Conformity.

Picked up a sixer at the New Bern/James City Food Lion 6-12-22 for $10.99. Canned 04132022; consumed for review 6-15-22.
Beer poured a light orange with a nice white head that is leaving lacing behind.
Nose is of light citrus.
Taste is different from the hazies and WC IPAs i have been encountering lately. A smaller pale malt base shows off an orange forward hop flavor that is blended with a touch of grapefruit and finishes with a light piney rind bitterness; 5/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and smoother than refreshing.
Overall a nice change of pace, i think the brewers were trying to balance bitterness and flavor and you have this nice vibe going on with this beer, a quaffable flavorful not super bitter IPA; guess we can call it a Southeast IPA!

On draft, poured into taster as part of a flight. Nice creamy, velvet-like mouthfeel, this IPA has big aromas and flavors of grapefruit and cantaloupe with very little bitterness.

12 ounce can in a pint glass. Freshly packaged, so out of retirement, perhaps.
The liquid shows a dirty copper-orange color. It's cloudy, 1-F white cap, wave and splash lacing.
A blend of citrus hops and clean malt.
Grapefruit and melon flavors with the clean fresh malt.
Medium-full body that's slightly chewy from the oats addition. Dry hoppy finish, no bitterness.
Pretty good for a beer that's no longer brewed. The 6.5% abv is buried in the malt bill.

Drinking this at The Mother Earth Brewery in Kinston NC.
From a tap poured into a pint glass.
Appears very slightly hazy, orange, with a nice head and lacing.
Smells citrusy, grapefruit.
Taste follows the nose, with some cantaloupe.
Mouth feel is medium light for the style.
Overall a nice IPA, but not really an all too juicy IPA, but one I'd probably order again.

Good beer initially; aftertaste a bit weak. Would drink again but not seek out.
