Enjoyed at 3rd Annual Black & Blue in Charlotte, NC. Thanks brawleys!

A - hazy, deep golden color with thin white head that dissipated to super thin cap

S - definitely grapefruit, honey sweetness, light overall aroma

T - dry and moderately bitter at first with slight warming alcohol then some herbal honey sweetness creeps in

M - light/med body with pretty active carbonation; slight honey induced coating aftertaste

O - nice IPA overall. balanced between dry/sweet with sufficient but not overpowering bitterness. seemed to be super fresh or at least tasted like it!

Served from tap into a Black & Blue III shaker. Poured a hazy golden yellow with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, honey, and very subtle citrus hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus hop, pine hop, subtle alcohol, and a hint of honey on the followthrough. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. Mother Earth did a pretty good job on this one with taking a hoppy DIPA and adding just a kiss of honey. The honey really seemed to bring it all together by adding just enough sweetness to keep it interesting while not giving you diabeetus. I actually hope to see a few more breweries try this in the future as it was quite enjoyable.
