Appearance: Arrives with a fudge brown color capped by three fingers of foam; the head fades rather quickly, leaving just a few strands behind
Smell: Roasty, with dark bread and a hint of chocolate
Taste: Roasty and toasty, with the chocolate developing by mid-palate; a surprising bit of tartness arrives in the middle but the finish was woody and dry
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A light stout for the summer; surprisingly dry though the chocolate comes through nicely; the tartness was a bit odd
