Served on-draught into a .5 litre Steinfels glass at the brewery. Reviewed from notes taken in June 2010. 5.2% ABV.
A: Pours a 2.5 finger head of nice cream, okay thickness, and above average retention. Body colour is a semitransparent light gold.
Sm: Stale cream and full-bodied barley. A moderate strength aroma.
T: Stale cream and barley. Tastes a bit like their pils, which itself was quite lager-esque. If I didn't see them pour it, I'd think it was the same beer. The cream escalates on the climax, making it more full bodied and aiding the build with a bit more depth. It's a bit imbalanced in spite of its disappointing simplicity. It's alright for the style, but rather bland and boring all around.
Mf: Coarse, sharp from overcarbonation, and wet. Doesn't really complement the flavour profile. A bit too thick as well. Too heavy on the palate for the style.
Dr: Priced highly by Swiss standards. Easy to drink but of limited quality. I definitely wouldn't recommend this one.
