Pours a hazy gold with an orange hue. Huge off white head. Lots of spicy yeast giving off some nice aroma, also a good amount of malt presence here that comes off sweet and doughy. However, for a beer marketed as a hopped up saison, the beer does not live up to the label. I only get a slight melon fruitiness from the mosaic hops. Flavor wise, this might be the sweetest saison I have ever tried and its not dry, which derails this beer for me. I know it isn't, but this strikes me as what a milk saison would taste like if someone ever constructed such a thing. The hops show themselves more in the flavor, though nothing aggressive, with some melon and a slightly bitter grassy finish, paired with a ample dose of the sweet dough from the malt contribution and lots of sugars. The spicey yeast is a bit overshadowed in the flavor but there. A creamy, active mouthfeel. Overall, way too sweet for my liking. Would be quite good if they could cut the sweetness out though.
