Poured into a Breckenridge Small Batch balloon glass.
Look: A very solid ruby colored body with a cream colored head. The head recedes to a wisp but leaves sheets of lacing -- massive lacing.
Aroma: Toasted bread, caramel, piny hops, cedar.
Taste: Any malt presence disappears quickly with more wood coming in, pine and cedar. The finish is a little bit citric.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, dry.
Overall: Not a fan of hoppy browns or hoppy reds. I rated this objectively though. Not much of a malt presence and that hurt the score.

This poured a medium brown into a standard pint glass. It had a small head that lasted a while with decent lacing. The smell was more malt than hops. The flavor was more brown ale than hoppy. It felt just like beer in my mouth.
I'm not a big fan of brown ales, but this was decent. It was part of a mixed 12 pack sampler that I would not buy again.
