Silver Salmon is a hoppy lager that’s light and thirst-quenching, yet there’s plenty of complexity and flavor. This honey-colored lager has aromas of fruit and floral from the hops, with a hint of biscuit, too. Its mild caramel malt profile is met with forthright hop flavors and the clean, crisp finish that you’d expect from a lager.

Pours a hazy honey orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Tiny particles of sediment are seen suspended in the beer after the pour. Smell is of citrus zest, grapefruit juice, pine needle, earth, and herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with grapefruit juice, pine needle, floral, and earthy hop flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a fairly assertive hop profile that leans towards the earthy end of the spectrum.

Clear, golden body; nice carbonation bubbles; thick, rocky, creamy head; sticky clumps of foam clinging down the sides of the glass. Spicy and pungent aroma; hints of pine resin. Bitter and malty flavor; mild, rather toasted grain taste with a strong, biting hop bitterness. Crisp, hard and dry mouthfeel; somewhat resinous.
A sharp, crisp pale lager that emphasizes the hop bitterness. You still get a mild, lightly cereal-like malt flavor, but the hops really stand in front of it all. I imagine if the brewery's description is "India pale lager" then the emphasis will be on the hops. In this case, it seems to work while giving a slightly smoother lager or pilsner feel to the beer. A solid offering...

Wow. What a curious drink. What is this I have? An IPA? A lager?
It looks like either - yellow and foamy. The aroma is a nice hoppy smell. Nothing too pronounced or overboard.
The taste is bitter and dry. Malts and yeast are overpowered by hops. This is a fishy taste - not enough of any except too much hops.
This is a way too dry taste and not recommended unless you want something like those one dimensional IPA's that is in fact a beer. Where are the malts?

Pretty much tastes like just another IPA. The lager vs ale change didn't really affect the beer all that much. I found it to be very similar to other IPAs. Nice pale color, not as crunchy or chewy tasting, though certainly piney and grassy. Doesn't actually give the IBUs on the bottle, but I'd guess in the 70-80 range (note: website says 42). Pretty decent, but not sure the appeal of the 25th Anniversary collaboration did much for it.

Light golden body with a small white cap. Odd aroma with earth, hops, malt. Bitter hops and grass. Light in body. Mediocre.

Poured into a Breckenridge 25th Anniversary snifter.
Look: Nearly clear orangish-golden body under a frothy light khaki head. Massive foamy lacing.
Aroma: Citrus, sharp piney hops, lemongrass.
Taste: Sharp citrus bite with mellow, sweet malts. Lemongrass throughout with a bitter hop finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, dry.
Overall: Lots of hop bitterness, very true to the flavor of a Pilsner with the lemongrass.
