($12.51 Becher pint pour at Denver Airport 10p local 13 Mar 2026... notes taken while I was sitting at the Breckenridge bar)

Perfectly clear honey amber liquid… dried orange fruit and a hint of cannabis on the nose… on the palate, a light but sinewy amber ale hopped with tropical grassiness… mouthfeel is rather dry and sliced, lil bit of hop rivulets and caramel malt chub lingers; feels ultra filtered though... pretty decent beer, it ain't an IPA no way, hoppy amber (or orange blonde) all day (2516)

This was specified as a WCIPA when I ordered it at the Breckenridge Brewery tap house in Denver International Airport - but here it’s billed as an American IPA.
Here is more accurate.
The pour is transparent amber color and is capped with a 1/2” near white head.
The taste leads with mild pine and grapefruit rind flavors that merge into the sweeter biscuity malts. Not as balanced as, say Two Hearted, I think they were going for more west coast than mid west. And they managed to pull it off.
The feel is thinner than I think it should be, but that’s an opinion, not a quibble.
OA, descent beer, not great though.

This one comes from a mix-pack that I picked up a the local beer store. Poured from a twelve ounce aluminum can, it is a clear golden color with a moderately sized foamy white head. The aroma has a strong piney hop quality. A bit of fruit and malt sit behind the hops. The taste is bitter, sweet, and a bit warming. Malt and spicy hops are forward. Medium-full in body. Wonderful IPA.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, caramel and resin. Nice fruity taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is gold, transparent, head is off white with frothy bubbles, head presents 2 fingers thick and dissipates to nearly solid top with thicker ring on the glass sides.

Smell is subdued, needed agitation to get some aroma - notes of light caramel, toast, earth, herbal notes.

Taste is has more presence - malt forward with light caramel, toast, honey, earth, herbal and light pine, with some citrus pith.

Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness.

Overall a malt forward WCIPA that does better than others that claim that style.
