Pours a clear gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt, pale malt, watermelon, and a hint of wheat. Fits the style of a Fruit / Vegetable beer. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes strong pale malt, sweet malt, watermelon-esque, hint of hop, and a hint of wheat. Overall, watermelon flavor is slightly medicinal, complexity is lacking, blend is not great, and the body is only average.

On tap at the Detroit brewpub. Very solid pale wheat ale. Nice light watermelon taste without being artificial or sweet. The wheat base was similarly subdued. This style of beer will rarely be groundbreaking or amaze, but this is one of the better efforts in the category that I've had

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 4/18/2016. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of juicy watermelon, berry, guava, apricot, apple, honey, bread, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of watermelon, fruity/earthy hop, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of juicy watermelon, berry, guava, apricot, apple, honey, bread, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of watermelon, berry, guava, apricot, apple, honey, bread, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of watermelon, fruity/earthy hop, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/tartness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/sticky/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero alcohol warming as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a nice fruited pale ale style. All around good robustness and balance of watermelon, fruity/earthy hop, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and refreshing to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
