Hey O! Finally, after the pale and ipa debacles, we settled on the porter, a dark and delicious device. Hard to fuck up a porter. Right? Don't try proving me wrong, Battlefield! Dark brown with ruby shading. Smell is minimal cold, warms to a bit of roast and chocolate.
Tastes pretty good, better, of course, as it warms, nothing really wrong with it, just not outstanding in any way. The chocolate and roast are nice, it finishes thin and pretty dry. No coffee/black malt components, which are a drawback to me, but others may appreciate. This was a massive success when compared to the other beers I tried. Maybe I'll be back to test these out again.. Maybe.
