Poured from a tap into a pint glass at San Diego Brewing Company on Aug. 16, 2012, in San Diego, Calif. About one finger of white head when I got it. Beer color was caramel and honey. OK retention on the sides, tiny amount on the top.
Smelled citrusy hops, mainly grapefruit and lemon. Some floral notes as well. Not too bad overall.
Tasted citrusy, lemon, pine, a tad bit soapy and pretty bitter. Some floral tastes as well, which went balanced the beer. Went with a 3.5 over a 4.0.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish.
A really good beer overall. Was swaying in a few different spots, but am still happy with my final ratings.
