(From notes) Poured blackish-brown with just a touch of tan head. Aroma of smoke and roasted malts -- no bacon sizzle just yet.
Moderate carbonation and a full, smooth mouthfeel. Again, I didn't really pick up much bacon flavor, but the smoke definitely predominated and was reinforced by more common dark malt flavors of bitter coffee and a hint of cocoa. Not much hop presence that I could detect.
I can't say I was disappointed by the lack of overt bacon in this brew. I was more impressed by Odin's other offerings, but am glad I tried this at least once.

A: Had this at Tacoma Craft Beer Fest. Poured a very dark brown, like a big porter.
S: Smoked meat, grains and some roasted notes
T: Smoked meat and smoke, not peat smoke but like a campfire smoke and bacon, roasted malts
M: Pretty well rounded, no issues
D: Not my fav style but not bad to drink.

Served in Imperial pint glass. Poured very dark brown, really a light black, darker than most porters and almost as dark as a lot of stouts. There was a thin khaki head that had OK retention and medium lacing.
The aroma was mostly smoked malt. a hint of grain was in the background. The flavor was also dominantly smoke and I didn't get any of the bacon that's supposedly in the beer in either the aroma or flavor.
The body was typically full, nice and smooth. Drinkability was good, but suffered because the smoke got overwhelming and boring. Overall, a very decent brew, worth trying if you see it.
