Served in straight pint glass. Poured a reddish-amber color, much darker than most examples of the style, with about a half-inch of off-white head that had OK retention and low lacing.
The aroma was nicely malty and grainy with just a hint of yeasty spice. The flavor had a bit more of the yeast showing up over the grains.
The body was nice, a bit fuller than average. Drinkability was very good, a couple of pints went down very easily. Overall, an OK little beer, worth trying if you see it.
