Copenhagen 3/11 2023. 75 cl corked bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Dark blue label with a wooden barklike pattern.
Pours clear amber with a big off-white head. Stable. Settles thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairy intense with a sweet odor of marzipan and white sugar soon overpowered boba stronger tart scent. Sour gooseberries and citrus. Whiff of vinegar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour and bit searing. Lingers for a bit. Finish is tart and dry.
Satisfying Oud Bruin balancing the sweet marzipan with sour berries and vinegar.
