a fairly classically styled wit here, better than its ratings but somewhat generic as they go, nothing about it is particularly compelling to me, but it sure isnt poorly made or anything. i had this on draft, and it looked light in color, even for the style, murky, and without a ton of head after the initial pour. it feels better than it looks though, with enough carbonation happening for me. there is some serious orange notes to this, bitter rightly on the peel aspect, and juicy and ripe in the flavor. a light staleness to the wheat malt, but lots of character for how light it is, and slightly sweet. the yeast might be a little over developed here, banana and citrus and pear and pepper and coriander to it, estery and lingering long in the finish. its a good mix of heavy and light texturally, but it doesnt line up super well with the flavor trajectory as it evolves. not a bad beer at all, i actually enjoyed the flavor of this pretty well, it just tastes like a lot of others out there and doesnt really stand out to me in any way. i like the robustness of the citrus through here, a nice touch.
