Had at the Oak Park 7th Generation Beer Fest. But this was the first beer of many (so my buds had not yet been assaulted by the hop-bombs.) We have an average Looker, hazy but no lasting foam. We have a decent Smeller, hefe banana present... but barely. Taste is not above the standard and Feel is decent... but only because it was my first on a hot day.
My first and probably only from The Lucky Monk. I kind of object to them playing off the Belgian beer market and then offering lots of deep fried bar food without much imagination. I suppose it is nice that they think Belgian, but they still need to learn Belgian.

I tried this at the Monk. It poured a hazy golden with no head and no lace. The scent was average at best. The taste decently balanced and easy to drink...not much to report. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its ok.

not sure why it's classified as weizen beer - typical belgium heffe to me - so much fruit, haze and banana flavour. Would rate it probably 3.5 if it was a heffe on the menu. Nothing special but Ok. Overall, tried three of their beers - one common denominator is they're going after the crowd taste, not necessarily high quality beer. Reminded me the 5 seasons in Atlanta...

Picked up a 22 oz. bottle at the restaurant/brewery.
Insane amount of, off-white head that recedes to a nice thick film. Pale light amber and brassy hay color mix. Great bubbling and some quick lacing too. When you add the yeast at the bottom, the color turns to a cloudy, hazey orange, amber and brass sunsest.
Light and dry banana and clove aroma. Then some toasted wheat and white bread crust malts. Balanced, but a little thin.
Chalk dry palate and taste. Banana and cloves are their, just a little more dulled down compared to the aroma. Toasty bread crsut and wheat thin malts. Easy to drink and enjoy, not the most complex Hefe, but satisfying.
