Pulled from a barrel by Karel Goddeau himself during Toer de Geuze 2019. Two generous pours of 18 month old unblended lambic, served from a stoneware pitcher. I piggybacked on a second tour with a group of Russian brewers solely to drink this again, and the tour was even more entertaining the second time around.
Saturated golden orange and a little hazy. String of loose bubbles to one side.
Aroma is bursting with acidic lemon and peach, balanced by a faint tangerine sweetness.
Soft and supple, fruit is huge on this, peach, lemon, tangerine. Dry oak in the background, that lingers in the aftertaste.
Light bodied feel, but it has ample substance. Extremely drinkable, vibrant and unique. I wish the bottled Oude Lambiek was this amazing, here's hoping the next vintage is great again.

Served by Karel at the source. 1 yr.
Hazy golden sunset orange.
Has a stonefruit profile. Very fruity for being so young. Funk. Light lemon acidity. Light sweetness.
Light bodied. Still. Ends clean.
A very nice 1 year lambic. Probably my favorite to date.

The pour is pale and hazy yellow with no head. Nose is faint with notes of lemon juice and a fresh sock like funk. It taste is a bit messy, light lemon juice and musky cellar mildew. Flabby integration on a light body with a low amount of carbonation.
