12oz bottle poured into teku glass. No discernable date on bottle. Picked up from liquor store for $2.49.
Appearance - Clear deep mahogany brown body with a 2 finger light brown head that rapidly dissipates in a volatile manner almost like the head of a soft drink.
Smell - Dark coffee and toffee.
Taste - Dark coffee. Dirt. A little bit of cream. Apparently that might be the salted caramel.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied.
Overall - No major flaws. Perfectly drinkable, better as it warms.

Deep dark reddish brown. Had about a finger of light brown head slowly cut to just a skin of light brown foam. Nice lacing on a clean glass.
Dark roasted malts and figs on the nose. Also picking up some of the alcohol.
Taste follows the nose. Getting roasted malts. The stone fruits come through. Something like toasted nuts. A touch of sweet caramel.
Mouth is medium and a bit chewy with a thick finish. Also picking up a concerning bit of alcohol burn.
A very decent porter or I should say Baltic Porter. The alcohol does show itself in the nose and on the taste. I think that could have been better masked. The caramel was a bit hidden. There is a bit of a heavy presence of the stone fruits. Seems like the balance is just a bit off kilter somehow. Something just niggles at me. Well signing off, Cheers!
