This beer is the result of a collaboration between seven Arizona brewers during American Craft Beer Week 2010. Taste the teamwork!

Looks: like clean pennies. A beautiful dark copper color, perfectly clear, with notes of maroon and light orange. A tiny khaki head expands at first, then fades to a ring plus film.

Smells: dank. Onions, pine, fresh cut grass, lemon peel. As a backbone, honey sweetness, agave nectar, and hints of spicy rye.

Tastes: like a lesson in hop incorporation. Notes of each of the three hops used in this beer (Apollo, Citra and Sorachi Ace) can be pretty easily picked out. But there are those onions again...Hop astringency builds on the sides of the tongue as I drink. Soil, grapefruit. The rye is understated; you have to really search to find it, which is kind of a shame. Clean, crisp finish. 4

Feels: dulcet. Medium high, slightly tongue-numbing carbonation interplaying with a medium-light body. Smooth, velvety, and pretty perfect for an IPA.

Drinks: more like an IPA than a RyePA. Still, a stellar showing from Arizona's brewers. I look forward to them continuing to push the envelope a bit more.

Look - dark red/amber color with about 1/2 a finger's worth of foam.

Smell - typical IPA smell, but with a spicy kick. Hints of the rye that it's brewed with. Bitter smell.

Taste - Bitter, kind of leafy taste, probably due to the rye. Good with food because it helps balance out the bitterness. Maybe some hints of citrus.

Mouthfeel - light medium..not too creamy feeling.

Drinkability - A little too bitter alone, for my taste. Good beer in general, but for one of their seasonals, it might be a little too thick and heavy for a summer beer.

I listed this beer that got released today, not 100% sure that the style is right but the best I could do giving BA's limited database. The beer is a collaboration beer brewed at Four Peaks along sith SunUp, SanTan,Old World, Papago,Sonoran and Sleepy Dog. It is described as A Rye IPA. The beer is brown in color with good head. Hoppy/grassy and Citrus hop aroma. Flavor is that of a grainey beer. Pretty well balanced. An easy drinking IPA with just a touh of extra malt charecter. Nothing over the top but a well done beer.
